Something that I posted less than 24 hours ago now has my eighth-largest number of kudos on AO3 and the fourth-largest number of comments. Everything that has a higher comment number was a Yuletide gifts.

I've never been on a fandom wave when it was rolling before. This is an interesting ride.

(It's here if you're curious. Good Omens, Established relationship Ineffable Spouses but the ship isn't the point, Warlock is stuck in Texas and his parents don't understand him. Nothing big but do read the warnings.)

1) Well, I was already having New Fandom Energy feels because of Captain Disillusion, then the Good Omens miniseries exploded and even though that's actually quite an old fandom translating into a new medium - plus every former Superwholock on Tumblr discovering it and finding it is quite good, providing it with an instant huge fandom - ended up giving me more NFE feels, so now I have both an old fandom and a new fandom taking up space in my creative brain at once. Plus, I never fully drop old fandoms, so I still have stuff kicking around for At4W and one Monkees fic I need to finish.

2) A couple of days ago Charli XCX, an artist I have been vaguely aware of for years, dropped the single and video for "Gone," a collaboration with Chris of Christine and the Queens. Now, the Spouse had been quite into Christine and the Queens a couple of year ago, and I wasn't as excited about it but I liked "Tilted," so the Spouse put the video on our YouTube playlist and I went ahead and watched it. This song punched me in the solar plexus so hard all my clothes flew off. It is still taking up an immense amount of brainspace. It makes me want to kick physical laws in the teeth and jaywalk against the laws of thermodynamics. I have no idea how to deal with this. I am having NFE for a single song. (I made the mistake of correcting someone when they got an amphiptere mixed up with Terpsichore a day before this happened and I am vaguely worried I accidentally attracted the Muse's attention. This seems like the sort of thing she might do as a gag.)

3) As a consequence of (1) and (2), I desperately need someone who has actual video editing software to make a fanvid for Good Omens to "Gone," with Crowley for the Charli XCX lines and Aziraphale for Chris's lines. The video even has a car surrounded by flames in it.

You know, if this had been as early as ten years ago, all I would have to do to find a nice and proper Ineffable Husbands icon would be to trawl around three or four icon accounts. Now I might have to make one myself, and all I have on this laptop is the equivalent of a paint program.
