This Machine Annoys NeoCons
Sep. 18th, 2010 10:45 pmWell, we finished it - we now have a chromatic power-chord autoharp with a pickup. It sounds awful played acoustic - thin and tinny - but through the little practice amp with the disortion turned up, it's actually sort of interesting.
Now I just have to learn to, you know, play.
So, what are we gonna do with a punk autoharp?
One suggestion was that we get me, the Spouse,
cheshirebast, and
bassfingers to show up to a bluegrass festival - autoharp, cajon, fiddle, and acoustic bass - and start something innocuous, then five bars in the Spouse shouts "Stop, stop! I'm sorry, ladies and gentlemen, but there's no reason for you to hear this today," and we crash into "Radio, Radio."
Now I just have to learn to, you know, play.

Google is becoming so powerful that I'm starting to imagine it as a little attendant-cherub, or maybe a faithful retriever-hound, tagging along at Athena's feet...
