It hit 90° here today. I've maintained for a while that the Celtic definition of summer starting at Beltane and ending at Samhain is more or less correct for Houston. This is early summer - the green is still new, still lots of blooms. Middle summer starts at Midsummer, natch, and late summer a little after Lammas. They're more or less distinct seasons, here.

Speaking of weather, GoodThoughts for those of you who have been affected by the flooding in Tennessee. Please let us know that you're all right.
