Why does closing AppleWorks with Eudora still open cause Eudora to flake out the next time it tries to check mail? (It doesn't happen if I just leave AppleWorks open, and it's a reproducible phenomenon.)

Hmmm... AppleWorks was last updated in 2004. Are you using Eudora 6.2.4 from last year, or the latest beta of 8.0.0?

Methinks thou might have dust in the gears.
