More RGB stuff: I'm in Season 3 now. The more-"kid-friendly" focus of the stories is pretty obvious, although some of them are still okay ("Big Trouble With Little Slimer" is pretty good for a Slimer-centric episode, for instance). I hate the Season 3 Janine redesign. I'm less annoyed by the Dave Coulier version of Dr. Venkman than I expected to be; while he's not Lorenzo Music, not by a long shot, Coulier is, I find myself reminded, a pretty good voice actor in his own right. And there's nothing at all wrong with his take on the character; he's deliberately playing it closer to Murray, and I have a hard time claiming that dilutes the Dr. V-ness. It's just not quite as good as what we'd had, is all. (And I am finding that my mental voice for the character shares some aspects of both - there is an eyes-half-lidded Joel Hodgson vibe to the Music!Peter that the Coulier!Peter and Murray!Peter don't usually have, for instance, and while sometimes Venkman is like that, I don't think he is all the time.)
The Spouse and I also came to the realization that cartoon!Ray, especially his Season Three redesign (which is slighter than his Season One/Two design, and has more and oranger hair), is clearly a lost Weasley cousin. There's one delightful GB/HP crossover already, and I don't need to write another one, but there's also a rather tasty RGB fanfic that postulates (entirely within the RGBverse) that Ray's mother was a kitchen witch - that she might be Yet Another Long-Lost Weasley Cousin makes a rather tempting target, I must admit.
*sigh* So many plot bunnies, so little time.
