Finished Season Three. The "Junior Ghostbusters" episodes are pretty miserable. The rest isn't as bad as I'd feared, and the JMS episode is pretty much the same level as Season One.

The last episode on the last disc of Box Three is actually the first episode of Season Four. Man, I was annoyed at the Season Three redesigns, but the Season Four ones are even worse. The animation style is slipping towards stretch-and-squash, and away from the - not exactly realistic, but the reasonably human dimensions of the previous three seasons. The opening is particularly bad; the actual episode - "Flipside," where the core three get sucked into a Netherworld version of New York and encounter zombie versions of themselves - is a little better. I'm not looking forward to what that opening means about the later episodes, though.

I am weirded out by some of the coloring inconsistencies. In particular, Peter's eyes. I don't remember ever seeing them clearly enough in Season One to note their color. Throughout Season Two, they're green, but the shade changes - most of the time, they're a dark grey-green, more or less the color of the trim on his jumpsuit, but in some episodes (and some shots in episodes where they've been grey-green) they're damn near emerald. In Season Three, they're greenish-grey in most shots and brown in some. In this one ep of Season Four, they're back to emerald. (Fanon is that they're emerald green and the other colors are mistakes.) And IIRC, none of these match Murray's - he's blue-eyed, isn't he? (Then again, cartoon!Ray is consistently portrayed as having light brown eyes, and cartoon!Egon is blue-eyed, while Ramis has lovely brown eyes and Ackroyd is heterochromatic.)
