Yup, yup. We're well above storm surge levels, and Buffalo Bayou hasn't ever flooded this far up, either. The things that might get blown about are being secured, either by us or by the handyman, and we have plenty of water, canned food, and batteries. The only thing I'd like to get that we don't currently have is extra ice.

It looks like we're staying put for now. We're not THAT far inland from Galveston Bay, but we're far enough that we should be alright.

We're still keeping an eye on the storm.

And they've bounced our ZIP code's expected maximum sustained winds down to 69 mph from estimating 95 earlier today, so that's good.

I hadn't heard 95 from any of my news sources. They've been saying 'near hurricane' force winds all day. Although I didn't start checking in until after 2.
