I'd love to see a GURPS Steampunk Supers, a la Falkenstein meets The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen meets Hellboy or something.

Damn, that sounds pretty good, actually. Yeah, add my "woot!" behind Chuck's ideer. :)
(But then, I'm a sucker for good steampunkyness.)

You mean there's someone who a) isn't a sucker for steampunk and b) wouldn't want to see that? If there is, I'm sure I don't know them. ;)

*raises hand* While there are steampunk stories I enjoy (*cough*Girl Genius*cough*), they're invariably despite the setting, not because of it. It always seems one step removed from Victoriana, which I hate.

I'm also crap at GMing supers, but that's a separate issue.

I was kind of kidding, hence the emoticon. But I also admit I would be a total sucker for the setting. It'd be close to the one I always want to run or play in: steampunk + fantasy, like the background world of Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. Too bad the game itself was so bad.

While I might be curious enough to play that, curious enough even to overcome my slight distaste for steampunk, I am so not the right person to run it.

I might be able to do something like Bureau 13 By Gaslight - would that be close enough?

I'm not familiar enough with the Buffy/Angel end of the Whedonverse*. I could do the 'Verse - that is, the Firefly end.

I'm not familiar with any of the settings you are working on, but it's neat to follow the world building process.

One of the main reasons I is a fan of Bronze Age fantasy stuff is 'cause I'm a big fan o' Glorantha games (RuneQuest 1, 2, 3, x, y, z, etc; HeroWars; HeroQuest [rpg, not the board game]). :)

High-fantasy, high-magic, Bronze Age goodness.

I would love to play in your StarCon II game; wish you were running it in Boston! :)
