Senator Rodham-Cinton has, not conceded exactly, but suspended her campaign and endorsed Senator Obama.
Now, barring shenanigans at the convention (I suspect that she will insist on a first balloting as pledged, just to make a point), we can get on with struggling towards the end of this current legacy of fear, hate, and just plain cussed indifference that this administration promotes.
Unlike some of you folks who read my ramblings, I don't think Senator Rodham-Clinton is the devil incarnate, or even a particularly bad person. But she has ties with too many corporate interests for my liking, she skews farther rightward than I would prefer (especially on free speech issues), and I really want for the first female president to have made it to the Oval Office on her own, rather than climbing on the back of a powerful husband - or father (*glares at the current occupant*). I hope that she returns to the Senate, where we could use a few strong, level-headed female voices, too. Not that Senator Snowe isn't doing a good job there, but I'd like to see some on both sides of the isle.
