Yeah, so we finally watched Walk The Line at Movie Night last night, and what happens?

I spend the better part of an hour poking around online to see how much a used/refurbished autoharp would cost.

*forehead smack*

The terrible thing is, even most of a day later, I can't convice myself that it would be a really bad idea. The most I can get to is "that'd be expensive." Which is annoying, but surmountable.

During your poking, did you happen to find anyplace that refurbishes autoharps? My grandmother played, but hers has fallen into tremendous disrepair. It'd be interesting to get it fixed up so it could be an heirloom.

I remember seeing a couple of luthiers that sold refurbished autoharps, and I imagine that they'd also do the refinishing. I don't remember any of them off the top of my head, unfortunately, but if you Google for "autoharp" and "luthier" I imagine they'd pop up.

I have a feeling it's going to get expensive.. or impossible. I think the soundboard is warped and/or cracked.. worth a shot, though!

Time: well, I have a couple of hours a week that was previously devoted to church stuff that's currently not spoken for. (Which is to say: not really, but that's never stopped me before.)
