Glass Quill

I mentioned, back around Owlcon, in one of my gaming posts that I'd picked up a glass writing stylus. I finally went by the local art supply place last weekend to get ink for it, in a few different colors. I figured My Friend the Internet could tell me how to properly use the thing, but so far I haven't found anything other than twenty million places to buy the thing and a few calligraphy sites that mention that they exist, but not how writing with them is different from writing with a regular fountain-type calligraphy pen (which I've used before, but not since college) or a metal-nibbed dip pen (which I've only used a couple of times)
Since I know a few of you are also fans of archaic writing implements, anyone know any good websites, or, failing that, books?

Don't press hard or you'll chip them; once they're chipped, they are useless. It's really hard to recondition a chipped glass nib.
