omorka: (Lesbian Tea)

Gaah. Bread's not done yet. Fortunately, I did finish one stack of grading (terribly depressing, that), and I know I won't have time to finish a second one before the bread's done, so I'm taking a break and listing all the teas I currently have.

Iced teas, in teabags:
Luzianne plain pekoe cut, regular and decaf (for iced tea)
Raspberry Quince Iced (Republic of Tea, henceforth RoT)
Peach Iced Tea (Bigelows, henceforth Bgl)

Black teas, in teabags:
Cherry Vanilla (Bgl)
Constant Comment, regular and decaf (Bgl)
Morning Thunder, black tea and mate mix (Celestial Seasonings, henceforth CS)
Nutcracker Sweet (CS; seasonal tea with spice and some sort of candy flavoring)
Orange Dulce (Mighty Leaf)
Vanilla Bean (Mighty Leaf)
Comfort and Joy (RoT; seasonal tea flavored with mulling spice)
Cranberry Blood Orange (RoT)
Mango Ceylon (RoT; 1 teabag bought as a sample)
Vanilla Almond decaf (RoT)
Chai Spice (Stash)
Earl Gray (Taylor's)
Tazo Chai (Tazo)

Green teas, in teabags:
Pink Rose Green (RoT)
Pomegranate Green (RoT)
Apple Blossom (RoT)

Black teas, loose, unflavored:
Assam (Harrod's)
Darjeeling (Harrod's)
British Breakfast (RoT)
Golden Yunnan (RoT)

Black teas, loose, flavored:
Bodum's Best (this is a blend that came with a teapot from Bodum; I've not worked up the courage yet)
Chocolate A-Peel (SerendipiTea)
Empress Grey (Stash)
Blackberry Sage (RoT)
Cinnamon Plum (RoT)
Earl Greyer (RoT)
Ginger Peach (RoT)
Raspberry Quince (RoT)
Republic Chai (RoT)
Rose Petal Tea (RoT)
Tea of Good Tidings (RoT; another seasonal blend, with juniper and cinnamon)
Vanilla Almond (RoT)
Orange Spice (Whole Foods)

Green teas, loose, flavored:
Jasmine Jazz (RoT)

Oolongs, loose, unflavored:
All Day Breakfast Keemun Oolong (RoT)
Ti Kuan Yin (RoT)

Rooibos, in teabags:
Madagascar Vanilla Red (CS)
Moroccan Pomegranate Red (CS)
Republic Red Chai (RoT)
Safari Sunset (RoT; this is rooibos with citrus and spices)
Red and White (Stash)

Herbal teas/tisanes, in teabags:
Black Cherry Berry (CS)
Mandarin Orange Spice (CS)
Tangerine Orange Zinger (CS; this tastes just like Hawaiian Punch)
Harvest Moon (RoT)
Orange Starfruit (Stash)
Passion (Tazo; this is pretty much pure hibiscus)
Breathe Easy (Traditional Medicinals, henceforth TM)
Cold Care PM (TM)
Echinacea Plus (TM)
Gypsy Cold Care (TM)
Throat Coat (TM)

Herbal teas/tisanes, loose:
Flowering Fruit Herb Tea (RoT)
Flowering Garden Tea (RoT; yes, these are two completely different blends)
Harvest Moon (RoT; yes, I have this one twice)
Mate Latte (RoT; note that this isn't caffeine-free)
Par Amour Tisane (SerendipiTea; a hibiscus and fruit mix)

And now the bread is at least out of the machine, so I'm off to catch what little sleep I can.

My list of currently owned teas is much, much shorter:

Tazo Earl Grey (Tazo)

I need more tea.

What sorts of teas do you enjoy? I could make a few recommendations off the list . . .

I'm not quite the experienced connoisseur others are. My family raised me for the longest time on simple Lipton's.

OTOH, I like Earl Grey (which, I admit, I tried for the first time way back when because Captain Picard liked it), "Breakfast Teas", that sort of thing.

Republic of Tea's British Breakfast is a good, strong, black breakfast tea. It will knock you out of bed in a big way. If you're interested in trying something a little more exotic along the same lines, Celestial Seasonings' Morning Thunder is a blend of black tea and mate that makes coffees bow down in respect. On the tamer side of things, Twinings has a good Irish Breakfast - a little brasher than an English Breakfast; it wants half-and-half or even cream instead of milk.

If you can find Stash's Empress Grey, you might give that a try; it's an interesting and, I think, very enjoyable variation on the Earl Grey. Twinings has a Lady Grey that's similar, if a little less nuanced.

My list is probably about this long. There's no way that I'll ever take the time to write them all down, though. :) Good for you!
