Bread pudding with dried figs and dried cherries = Teh Shiznit.

Okay, I can now almost accompany myself to "Down in the Valley." Not that this is an accomplishment, but it's an improvement from last night. I'm going to stop because my fingers hurt.

Oddly enough, this is actually giving me occasional urges to haul out the horn and fool around with it. I can't actually do anything with it until I get it looked at - the valves are slow - but playing something else is making me yearn for the familiar.

Hi there! You don't know me, but we have a common interest...I recently moved to a new state (Iowa to Indiana) and unfortunetly quite a few of my cd's seem to have been "lost"....among those were my Ceili's Muse, Six Mile Bridge, and Maggie Drennon Band cd's. This truly breaks my heart since I've been listening to them since I was a kid (my mom used to take me to a lounge in Iowa City called "The Mill" when I was 9 years old. I'm now 23 and still a big fan and saw Maggie last time they toured (shortly after the girls were burned in the accident)...however I can't seem to get Maggie to answer any of my emails (the only email account I know of is the one on her website) and it seems that The Dark Lady is out of print.

I am desperately trying to find a fellow fan who may still have these CD's. I would more than happy to pay, mail, and send postage for burned copies or mp3 files online.

Thank you for your time and I hope perhaps you can help me out.

Heh. My brother used to work in Bloomington, IN.

I don't think I can help you directly on the Muse front - their CDs are all pretty much out of print, and while very occasionally one show up in the used shops here (Houston was their hometown), that's pretty rare. I didn't follow 6 Mile SoloBridge or the MDB. (Speaking of the breakup, the likelihood of Maggie ever answering her e-mail is pretty low.)

Having said that, you might give [livejournal.com profile] bassfingers a try, if you haven't already. He was CM's bass player.
