You'd Think I'd Be Used To This By Now

omorkaI usually do the silly stuff first, and then the serious post. But I was just sitting down to start the lemmings post when Luna waved through my window to get my attention. I should have to lean way forward and duck slightly to see the waxing gibbous moon through that window from here, but either the tree moved in such a way as to flash her light at me, or . . . something. So I had to go out and talk with her for a bit.
I want . . .
. . . I need.

I sort of wish we'd planned the Galveston trip for this weekend, so we could walk the beaches under her light, but I think next weekend will do. We ought to start working on that.
Called Rice today and registered for the AP Statistics class on my own dime. I'll have to file the paperwork on that during the last week in July. I really don't want to do this - it gives the Spouse another excuse (the first good one he's had) not to get the car fixed. But I need to do this - I can't decide not to do right by my kids. It's just inconvenient.
On the other hand, I had thought I had all the district GT stuff the week after the AP Institute. Turns out it's a week later than that. So I do have one more week of my own time in there; now I just need to find things worthwhile to do in that time.
Called DM today, and asked if he might be interested in the DreamTrybe show. He is, if we can get transport. I'm going to call PB and see if he can possibly give us a lift, and maybe go with as well (I'll pay for him if he'll come along with us). I might make DG the same offer if PB can't or won't go. If anyone else is planning on being there, and is reading this, drop me an e-mail if you might be able to give us a ride home after the show.
Sorted through a number of chants. There are actually quite a few "author unknowns" among the old standards . . . which is regrettable on a large scale, but good for us (no worry about rights). I need to narrow down the list a bit; I'll probably post a version of it here tomorrow.
