For those of you who didn't already know, today is (was, I suppose; it's almost over) [livejournal.com profile] bibulb's Solar Return. We went out to our traditional Italian restaurant, with a pretty good crowd of people: [livejournal.com profile] moontyger and [livejournal.com profile] wileras, PB and [livejournal.com profile] greeneyedkitty, [livejournal.com profile] starcat_jewel and RA (who never make it to these things; it's a minor miracle!), and of course the MIL. Unfortunately for the tone of the evening, the Spouse decided to take Westheimer in order to avoid having to make an awkward turn into the restaurant parking lot, and we got stuck in a random pocket of construction along 610. This, of course, meant that the Spouse was very, very stressed and we arrived almost a half hour late. The restaurant also put us at too small a table for the size of the group, so we were knee-to-knee the entire time. But the food was good, and the company most agreeable. :)

Oh, how old is he? Well, he was a prime number two years ago, a power of two last year, and will be a prime number again in four years.

Hee, a math riddle! Actually, you gave excess information -- only the second statement is needed to answer the question, since I know he's out of high school but nowhere near retirement age. :-)

We had a great time. I'm glad we're finally starting to hang out aside from Chocolate Decadence -- for a long time it seemed as though we just couldn't get into the habit of thinking to invite each other to stuff.

It wasn't intended to be a hard question. ;) Unlike the ones I give my kids when they ask me for my age.

Yeah, I agree - and we still haven't managed to exchange that imp of Lust oil yet, even though we've managed to see each other twice in the space of less than two weeks. :-/

At some point I need to introduce you to the female half of the couple that runs the Rhythm of Life chalice circle - she's a beader, too, and she attends a number of UU conventions for which she constantly complains about a lack of jewelry vendors. I don't know if such things would quite be up your alley, but they might be an extra set of business opportunities, at least . . .

OMG I would LOVE to get into some UU conventions, and so would Russ! We've been hearing from an East Coast vendor we know that UU folks are "a lot like fen, but with more money."

I'll see her tomorrow - perhaps I can arrange a meeting between you two the next weekend you're in town? When will that be?

Eep! Happy Birthday, Noah! I forgot to call because of my car stuff. :-(

Whoops - I saw her original post, but I missed this. Sure, go right ahead, if you're still interested.

A third of a century (more or less)! I don't hit 10,0000 for a few years yet.

The freeways they do suck.
