I didn't even screw up my sleep schedule that badly, and I have a headache. One bad enough that I missed last night's show, for which I feel really bad. :( I've missed all of them since the beginning of Winter break. Hopefully, I'll feel well enough for the April one . . . it falls between UIL and CMA, at least.

Finished my fingerless gloves/gauntlets. Will post a picture when I think I can get the camera to behave. I have to admit, while the colors are gorgeous and they're certainly warm, I'm not thrilled with the Kureyon. It's scratchy and inconsistent in texture. I guess the next stop in the colored-wool experiment is Koigu, which I'll have to order - maybe I'll tackle Charlotte's Web when I finish Cobweb.

Also finished Vision of Escaflowne, which was wonderful up until disc 7. Disc 8 was highly disappointing. The romantic subplot was resolved entirely too monamorously, and far too easily (and poor Merle and Dryden!). I don't quite understand why, after going back to Gaea for Van's sake, she then went back home again; I really don't understand why she gave him the dowsing pendulum, as that seems to be the only way she could get back to Gaea again later if she chose. They never finished the black-wings subplot at all. And her giving up the cards entirely proves, to me, that she learned entirely the wrong lesson from her sojourn. Grrr.

More caffeine, I think. Cold. Non-fizzy.

( . . . those who have no gods save Destiny . . . )

[You're over-romanticizing.]

(True, but two in one year?)

{It has to mean something.}

[Something, yes. But not the same thing.]

I hated the ending of Escaflowne totally. What BS, neh? There's a sequal which is supposed to be even worse =X Haven't had the stomach to watch it

Agree 100% about the ending of Escaflowne. Fortunately, the rest of the series is good enough that I can forget about the crap ending. I think anime writers have a problem ending things in ways that flow naturally from the story. Far too many of them have a huge shakeup at the end that barely makes sense. The ending of Evangelion ruined it for me, but for whatever reason I can forget the Escaflowne ending and still remember the series fondly. Also might have something to do with the fact that the opening song for Escaflowne is the best anime opener I've heard so far. Love that song!

I recently purchased the Escaflowne perfect collection with the idea to do a music video using footage from it.

Yeah, I think the Escaflowne opening theme and the one for Season Three of CardCaptor Sakura are currently tied for best in my mind. (Same composer, IIRC, too.)

Let me know when you finish the music video; I want to see it . . .

It probably will be when I kick it into shape properly.

Did I mention that my life is fractal?
