The 10 Unique Things Meme

There's several versions of this going around. The idea is to list 10 things about yourself that you think are not shared by anyone on your friends' list. If someone else on your list does share them, you either replace that one or strike it out. I think we'll go with replacement on this one, at least for the day until this drops off of everyone's friends page.

1) I have participated in raising horses, chickens, and cattle, but not pigs.
2) I have taken formal lessons in three different archaic languages.
3) I have had a legal learner's permit and passed driver's ed, but never had a legal driver's license.
4) Despite being a girl, I have no piercings anywhere on my body and never have - not even the earlobes.
5) I have attended over thirty math/science tournaments, either as a student or a sponsor. (UIL Academic Meet counts.)
6) I can play French Horn (and several related brass instruments) but not piano or keyboards.
7) I've worn a velvet cloak to school on a day other than Halloween.
8) I've been knitting and crocheting for over 20 years, but have never made a sweater, even a baby one.
9) I've participated in baling hay - the rectangular bales with twine, not the big round ones with wire.
10) I'm the fourth of four generations of the same gender in my family to live through a house fire.

Edit:

alt2) I learned "Silent Night" as "Stille Nacht" and still prefer it in the original German.
alt7) I've coordinated a gaming convention with no co-coordinator (albeit a small one and not by choice)
alt8) I've carded wool and spun it - on a wheel, not a drop spindle. (there are two people here who may have me on this one)
alt9) I've participated in repairs on an antebellum house.

#1 My family had a farm in Wisconsin that we went to every summer when I was little. It had only horses and one or two cattle. My brother and I ended up helping with them while we were there so I supose that could count. The chickens came later when my mom insisted she wanted chickens at our house... in the middle of a city. No pigs though.

#5 I'm sure I've been to over 30 tournaments, all as a student though.

On your alternate #2, I also prefer the original version, although it wasn't the first one I learned -- it fits the melody much better than the translation does.
