A Brief First Report from Owlcon
Feb. 6th, 2005 07:19 amJust got home from the Cthulhu LARP (much thanks to
teegarden and
perkyshai for putting it on, along with the rest of their staff). Had far more fun this year, and actually got to be semi-useful, at least for a couple of scenes.
One of the other LARPers was very close to a seven-eighths scale model of
bassfingers circa 1995. Similar hair and build, strikingly similar facial features, and a couple of the verbal mannerisms (including the tendency to repeat a word near the beginning of a sentence when slightly excitied or nervous). If he'd had a fedora, I'd've been worried! Didn't catch his name, unfortunately, but he sounded like he might be coming for the LARP at ApolloCon, so I might get to find out who he is there.
