Total Crack

So, the Spouse and I were both tired during dinner, and the inevitable happened - our fandom interests crashed and crossed over. The result: TOTAL CRACK! Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your point of view), it's more suited to fanart than fanfic - which means that I probably won't even attempt it.
So, just so that everyone knows what sorts of batshit crazy we are when it's just the two of us and our peculiar media obsessions, I present: Neon Revelation Phantasmion.
Dramatis Personae:
Raymond Ikari: A 14-year-old boy, who has for the last five years believed himself to be an orphan, only recently summoned to Terminal Apocrypha by a strange man claiming to be his father. Full of boundless enthusiasm and fascinated with the Demons and the Phantoms, he is nevertheless strangely unsure of himself in the quieter moments. He immediately makes friends with the other two "children" there:
Egon Ayanami: Quiet, withdrawn, and reserved, this 14-year-old is a complete mystery, seeming to lack a past and to care nothing for the future. The only other Phantom pilot when Ray first arrives. Has never lived anywhere but the PyrDome, and knows everything about its technology, but little about the world outside. Is slowly drawn out of his emotionless shell by Ray's concern and energy.
Peter Langley: Brash, egotistical, and initially borderline abusive to both Ray and Egon, this hotshot Phantom pilot too often lets his need to be the best get in the way of learning teamwork with his fellow "children." Has deep-seated abandonment issues from his parents, both of whom have disappeared.
Winston Suzuhara: The fourth "children," and a latecomer to the team. Initially hostile to Raymond, blaming him for civilian injuries during several of the Demon battles. His noncompetitive nature frustrates Peter, but he eventually forms a deep friendship with Ray.
Janine Nagisa: Introduced as the fifth "children," this character reamins a mystery except for her stormy relationship with Peter, her unspoken understanding with Egon, and her almost flirtatious fleeting interactions with Ray.
. . . Yeah. It just gets worse from there. Don't ask who's chained up in the basement, or why ECL is green.
