A Hot Bowl Of Soup And A Shave
Sep. 15th, 2008 01:46 pmWell, actually, brunch was homemade hash browns (note to self for next time: less onion, more black pepper) and cold summer sausage, with sun tea. But our hot water has mysteriously returned! I am now wondering if the problem was just the low water pressure not delivering hot water from the heater to our faucets. Obviously, if there's any hot water available, the heater must be gas - any water that an electric heater had heated would be lukewarm at best, by now. So, if there are those of our friends out there who don't have hot water and need it, our shower is available with a phone call.
We got a screened window in the bedroom open, so the much cooler air is getting into the apartment, and it's not nearly so stuffy. It's not supposed to rain for a few days, so as long as the heat stays down (thanks to all the gods of wind and air for this cool front), we should be reasonably comfortable.
In a fit of boredom yesterday, I went ahead and painted my toenails with the bright purple polish. Not that we're going to be holding Open House tomorrow or anything, but at least I have them painted. I can't say I did a great job, what with the light not being all that good, but they're colorful.
