Another Variation on the Music Meme

bassfingers:
1 - "Broken Wings," Mr. Mister
2 - "Mustang Sally," Wilson Pickett
3 - "Material Girl," Madonna
4 - "Appearance of the Dragon Armor," Yoko Kanno/Hajime Mizoguchi
5 - "Hand in my Pocket," Alanis Morissette
6 - "Flood," Ransom Notes (a cappella cover of a song originally by Jars of Clay, IIRC)
7 - "Go Slow Down," the BoDeans
8 - "Sacred Ancestors' Chant," Lisa Thiel
9 - "Made From This Earth," Mary Grigolia
10 - "Devil in Miss Jones," Something Happens
Hmm. That rather badly overrepresents the religious section of my collection, and somewhat overrepresents the '80s section. (It was worse before editing; #9 was originally a second Lisa Thiel song.) Ah, well. Random draws clump by nature.
the rules:Open up the music player on your computer. Set it to play your entire music collection. Hit the “shuffle” command. Tell us the title of the next ten songs that show up (with their musicians), no matter how embarrassing. That’s right, no skipping that Carpenters tune that will totally destroy your hip credibility. It’s time for total musical honesty. If you get the same artist twice, you may skip the second (or third, or etc.) occurances. You don’t have to, but since randomness could mean you end up with a list of ten song with five artists, you can if you’d like. Write it up in your blog or journal and link back to at least a couple of the other sites where you saw this. optional: Leave a comment here and tell me you did it.
