First, the "how unique are you?" meme, with the caveat that [livejournal.com profile] bibulb is excluded from "anyone else on your friends list," as this is a community property state:

Name a CD you own that no one else on your friends list does:

Tom Cochrane, Mad Mad World

Name a book you own that no one else on your friends list does:

New Designs In Crochet, Clinton MacKenzie

Name a movie you own on DVD/VHS/whatever that no one else on your friends list does:

Hmm. Short Circuit?

Name a place that you have visited that no one else on your friends list has:

Gamble: the John C. Stennis Space Center on the border between Mississippi and Louisiana

Seems about right . . . I might quibble with their definition of "unusual," though, given the spread between "paradox" and "ritual design."

No surprises there, unless it's how low the Socialist candidate scored.

Hmm . . . I know what one of them was; the two statements were almost identical, and the "Bush" one was more clearly stated. But I'm confused about the other . . .

Having said that, that's remarkably congruent with the results above.

Dream, the third of The Endless, you are in charge
of the Dreaming, all imagination and
creativity, everyone knows your beautiful
realm, but none truly understand it. You are
dark and brooding, creative, and spend a lot of
time by yourself, just thinking. You are almost
as serious as Destiny, but not quite. Everyone
is enchanted by you, but you keep them all at a
distance, even when you shouldn't.

Well, I've been in the Stennis Center, but only to drop off a wholesale sticker catalog at their gift shop en route to a con elsewhere. I don't know if that counts...

Being a math person, I'm surprised that you didn't notice the "interests" meme was organized by orders of magnitude (with one exception). 1-100 is Rare, 101-1,000 is Unusual, 1,001-10,000 is Specialist, 10,001-50,000 is Common, 50,001-100,000 is Popular, and over 100,000 is Universal. This does make for an unusual amount of spread on Unusual and Specialist, though.

Oh, I got that it was order-of-magnitude-ish. But Rare isn't 1-100; it's 1-10. And then Unusual is 11-1000 (note that "ritual design" is an 11, and it's Unusual; I have quite a few in the mid to upper tens). It seems as if there should be an extra category for the 11-100 area - maybe have that be Rare and the 1-10 list Very Rare?

I'm not miffed enough to complain t the designer about it, though.
