Yay! The shawl's done! I'll try and take a picture sometime this weekend.

When I try the pattern again, I think I'm going to look for a wool/linen or wool/cotton blend yarn. The Homespun acrylic feels really nice on the skein, and it crochets relatively well, but it feels kind of flimsy as a knit.

It's warm. Gaah. I'll probably be able to wear it at night at CMA without anything over it and still be comfy. (Of course, it will get prickly bits of plant material stuck in it if I do that.)

Now I'm working on the baby blanket for E&M's sprog-to-be. It's really, really simple - basically, it's a garter stitch rectangle done corner to corner, with a crocheted edging. It should go really fast, except perhaps for the edging. I'm maybe 2% done with it already, and I haven't sat down with it for any significant length of time.

should be bigger than you think to be useful . . . babies get big fast . . . the most useful ones I got are the ones that were at least 1/2 again as wide and twice as long as the rest.

I was figuring about a yard on a side, plus about another inch of edging. Anything too much bigger than that won't fit on the needles . . .
