I totally need a crafting icon

knitting yesterday, I decided to damp-block my capelet. This is from Stitch 'n' Bitch Nation.
This is how it turned out:

Here it is from the side. The colors aren't quite this dark in Real Life, and that bump on the side is because it was caught on my shirt and my photographer (the Spouse) didn't think it was important to tell me.

And this is from the back, the better to show off the pattern. The colors in this one are way off, so just look at the pattern - I swear, this camera does not love me unless I have it in full midday sun.
I think blocking really did help. I also like the way the Noro colorways worked with this pattern. It makes me feel much more charitable towards Noro than my first experience with Kureyon did; I hated the way the Kureyon felt, both while knitting and while wearing. The Silk Garden, which this is made of, was nicer on the hands while knitting it up, and much more pleasant now.
