That prat, I can’t believe he did that, he’d’ve finished first for sure if he’d just grabbed me and gone. Always has to do the heroic thing. Always has everyone’s eyes on him.
I’ve lived all my life in everyone’s peripheral vision - they’re always looking at someone else. My brothers. My sister. Now, my friend, who’s such a sodding idiot he can’t follow directions.
Why did he have to bring her? Was he going to try and haul up all three silly girls if he had to?
Why can’t he look at just me?
I’m not enough, even for him?
