1. What do you think we have most in common?
We're both not just gamers, not just GMs, but worldbuilders. I think we both care very deeply as GMs, about how our players are 'writing' their characters into our worlds, and how we've crafted those worlds to challenge the players and the PCs we have. (Even if our choices of game mechanics are very different!)
2. You are Draconophilic. What precisely is it about Dragons that you bond so strongly to and feel an affinity for?
That's actually a rather complicated question. The shortest answer is that it's a purely instinctive affinity - I am a dragon, at least at some metaphorical level. I have very vivid memories of being about 20-30 feet long, tailed, horned, with a 40-some-odd foot wingspan, six limbs (forelegs back legs, and wings), etc. On occasions, usually while under stress or very happy, I can still feel and flex my wings; on other occasions, they "cramp up" on me and cause something that I suspect is akin to the pains amputees sometimes get in their "phantom" limbs. My instinctive reaction (which I have learned to suppress) to certain unpleasant social stimuli is to hiss, and very occasionally to make this guttural sound that I think is roughly equivalent to breathing fire.
I know perfectly well that this all sounds quite crazy, but there it is. I don't know if it's some bizarre form of body dysmorphic disorder, or if there's something to the whole idea of Otherkin, or something else altogether. It rarely interferes with the rest of my life, so normally I just cherish it as yet another way of being unusual.
3. Have you always felt the desire to teach others? If not, when did you first feel this desire?
Pretty much, yeah. Ever since I realized that I knew more about a large number of subjects than most other people my age, it's seemed to me to be a duty/responsibility to teach them what I could, or at least aid them in understanding.
4. What word would you use to describe yourself?
Only one word? Tough call - I'm torn between "witch" and "bluestocking."
5. In the casting call of an alternative history where your life is a television show or movie, who gets to play the role of you?
Camryn Manheim. Roughly the right build, facial features, and attitude, and somewhat similar voice.
