Another D'oh! Moment
Feb. 8th, 2005 09:21 pmSo I'm reading
bassfingers's article on his playlists, and thinking about the way I do mine (nothing like his, mostly; they're a mishmash of by-date or by-decade, and themed lists/compilations), when I realize that I have not ripped any of my Loreena McKennitt.
I am an idiot.
Obviously, I rectified this immediately. :)
Oh, yeah, playlists. Here's a sample of my titles, with descriptions:
'80s Music (anything in my library with a date between 1980 and 1990 inclusive)
'90s Radio Remix (everything with a date between 1990 and 1999 that I remember hearing on the radio)
Aye, There's the Rub (songs about masturbation)
The Compulsive Compilation (things that I frequently get as earworms and have to play to get rid of)
Driving the Boys Crazy (songs in which a girl having a car is an issue for the guy singing)
Good Humanist Songs (self-explanatory)
Sex, God, and Rock & Roll (any song that connects the three)
It's pretty much all like that, although some of my titles are a little opaque (I have a list titled Dancing About Architecture, for example).
