omorkaThe CDC is proposing new educational guidelines that would promote abstinence-only materials to prevent HIV transmission. It's buried in the bureaucratese, but the new regulations essentially (a) make any condom instruction optional if it would violate the "community standards" of an area, and (b) make sure any condom instruction that is included emphasizes failure rates.
Obviously, the Bush Boys have been leaning on them.
There's a link for public comment, good until August 16, on the website. I picked about ten at random, and none of the ones I read were in favor of the new restrictions. A few more won't hurt.
