M1 (Make One)

starcat_jewel recommended, and almost immediately ran into greeneyedpagan! (SO nice to see you again . . . .) Spent far more on yarn than I really should have, all things considered - two projects' worth, rather than one at a time - but I may not have a chance to go back for quite some time, what with the start of school craziness, so it'll be just as well. They didn't have as large a selection of needles as I'd have liked, but that just means I need to gut up and order an interchangeable needle set. (I'd meant to buy a set of 16" needles for hat knitting, but I think I'll try and finish these two projects before I take up any knit hats.)
The baby blanket is proceeding at an acceptable rate. I'm sort of wanting to finish it now, not only because I'd really like for it to be done before the sprog is, but because I'm overeager to cast on for my next project already.
I did run into this pattern online, and was highly amused (and, hey - it's in my size! but I can't make it in wool and actually wear it here; I'd have to find a blend).
