Days Like These
May. 10th, 2004 08:05 pmToday is the Spouse's and my seventh wedding anniversary. Yay us! :) Many thanks to those of you who were there then and have stuck around.
Called Mom yesterday (of course). She's doing fine, but it sounds like both my brothers and Dad are not so hot - Brother #1 is down with some sort of respiratory problem, Brother #2 is contemplating dropping out of college for a year to work (at what?) because he doesn't know what he wants to major in (don't you figure that out by taking classes in random subjects for a semester? how is dropping out going to help?), and Dad's been rather depressed lately. (I'm glad Mom is so competent that she can handle being the only functioning parent.)
He Who Ain't Got No Feet apparently felt that it would be more productive to hang around in my Stats class than go to Staff Aide today. I told him that if they counted him absent, I wasn't writing any notes to the attendance office. He was remarkably quiet, which is to say he only interrupted me five or six times.
Met with the new Mu Alpha Theta officers for next year after school. They seem to be more together as a group than this year's, which is a relief. They said they'd work on ideas for fundraisers over the summer.
Too many kids have left too much stuff until the last minute. I hope they realize how lucky they are that I'm there after school almost every day, so they can come in and make up stuff.
EDIT: My parents just called and sang "Happy Anniversary" to us over the phone. Actually, they did it for me, and then I made them sing it again for the Spouse. I'm glad they remembered. :)
