omorkaMet the ministerial candidate for the UU church today.
He's a really interesting guy, and I like him, but I don't know if he's a good fit for the congregation. He's very much a doer, and this is a thinking congregation. On the other hand, if![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
lord_of_entropy thinks he'll be all right, I suspect I should trust him on this one - he's very much a thinker, and he knows the congregation better than I do.
He does seem to be fairly friendly towards the earth-centered traditions, and familiar with some. I felt reasonably comfortable, although I doubt he'll ever attend our circles.
I'm going to go ahead and do a small pledge to the church this year, in the interest of developing a more formal relationship with it, I think. It's a comfy closet, if I ever need one (although, at the moment, if the CP gives me any shit about it I'll wear "Pagan" like a badge, to the faculty at least). It's also a structured place to interact with people who are liberal and libertarian. Safe spaces are few and far between for that, these days.
