Will those who are posting the Russian meme please lj-cut it? Either that, or post more, so it gets scrolled off the screen quickly.

It is severely screwing with the formatting on my friends page and making it difficult to read anything.

Thanks,

Omorka

My fault, and I'm sorry. However...no way to put it behind a cut while you are posting it, because the bastard posts automatically. It is very odd indeed. I deleted mine (twice now) and I hope it stays gone.

You're the second person on my friends list that's had the same complaint. I have no interest in participating in that particular meme, but I'm curious what web browser you're using, because the ones showing up on my friends page in Safari seem to look just fine.

Interesting. I'm using Safari, too, although it appears to cause the same or worse formatting issues for me in Netscape.

The problem isn't that they're garbled; the problem is that they cause everything - not just the meme itself, but everything on the entire friends page - to run off the screeen to the extreme right.

As Chuck says, it doesn't mess with Safari, but I've found so many malformed memes that I always put them behind the cut.

And I'm specifically not doing that one. Can you say "security hole"?

Like I said to [livejournal.com profile] bassfingers, I'm in Safari, too. I'm assuming that y'all have your settings managed intelligently in some way that I don't, if it's not causing weird formatting for y'all, but damned if I can figure it out.

And yeah, I generally put memage behind the cut, if only because images are slow.

Any idea if the LJ-uberdudes are fixing the hole?

I agree. I looked at it before I considered posting (I only post a tiny fraction of the meme results that I try).
I put my username in, and clicked the button.
Then it posted itself to my account without my permision or action on my part.
My client was able to delete it, but I ran a virus check and spyware check just to be sure, then changed my LJ password.
I don't like things that behave that way.
