Todd MacFarlane was never anything really special in the writing realm anyway, and furthermore he's an arrogant ass, so this doesn't surprise me a bit. Then again, could be worse; could be Glenn Danzig and his Verotik titles, which I collected for a brief while in the early 90s. Often excellent artwork, HORRIBLE TERRIBLE writing. I mean as in some of the worst I've ever experienced, even worse than most anything Image ever came out with--and Glenn thought he was all that and a bag of chips! So you see, it could be worse.
