Your result for The Fan Fiction Personality Test...

The True Fan

OOC is blasphemy, canon is everything.

Once you fall in love with a movie, book or TV series, you are loyal like an old dog. You take fanfiction quite serious[ly] and use it as a substitute after the canon ran out.

You are probably a walking dictionary [encyclopedia] of your favourite fandom and you are picky about what you write and read. The closer to the "real thing" fanfiction is, the more you like it.

You [would] rather explore a character in all depth, see new sides and learn more about them[,] than creat[e]ing new characters or mix up the situations they are in.

Take The Fan Fiction Personality Test at OkCupid

Yes, I copy-edited the quiz result; it bugged me. Um. Which might actually be a point in their favor as far as the result goes, I suppose. Still, I think the "mindgamer" description actually fits my style better. Fanfic is not srs bzns, yo.

Anyway, I strongly object to their lumping mpreg and lolicon with shonen-ai and slash. Mpreg is a very specific kink. Not that I don't write kinks, of course.

Oh, people are weird. People who write OKCupid quizzes especially so.

I wasn't too thrilled with some of the answers on a few questions. None of them really matched my thoughts. But I ended up "True Fan" as well.

BTW...oh, I wrote a very, very wrong Eureka story tonight. Will probably go up tomorrow if Red gets done proofing it.

I got the same thing, I who don't believe in canon. At the same time, though, I don't believe in deviating too far from the sourcework, or why write fanfiction in the first place?

I got Mindgamer, which is not far off for me. OTOH, this was almost certainly because they did NOT offer any responses about the kind of fanfic I most prefer (back-story, side issues, what-happened-afters), so I took what-if as the closest approximation.
