And just to add injury to insult . . .
Feb. 25th, 2004 09:59 pm. . . I just stepped on a shard of glass in the living room trying to answer my cell phone when PB called. Nice one, too - a little over a centimeter by about 3 mm by razor-thin. No idea where it came from, either - plain clear glass, and we haven't broken anything recently.
Fortunately, it didn't cut all the way through the skin (thank the gods for the calluses from running around barefoot on grass and gravel for 16 years of childhood), so I don't feel any real need to go get a tetanus shot. It's not even really bleeding much; it just hurts. I'm going to have to wear sandals and not stand during class for a few days.
Just my luck this happens right before pre-UIL. Then again, it could have been worse; it could have been right before the Acronym, or a con.
