Round and round, the wheel is turning

omorkaSo I'm now working on two pieces knit in the round.
It's been a long time since I knit something in the round on circulars, despite my using circular needles for everything except certain scarves. I dislike having the end of a straight needle sticking out past my elbow, so I just flip the flat pieces around the circular needle to turn them. I also don't have to worry about needles falling out when I stuff the WIP in my tote bag.
But I learned in the round, and so doing pieces in the round sort of feels like going home. In a good, archetypal way, not in the actually going back to a small town kind of way. Building garments in spirals is aesthetically appealing to me for numerous reasons.
I wonder if I could do a double spiral on two circular needles. I know I could do it in crochet . . . although I'm not sure what it would look like.

In other news, DM made a vague comment about not knowing what he was doing in the business college last Thursday. Not quite sure what he meant by that . . . but perhaps he's not as asleep as I was worried he was.
