Most guys just like attention. Like pets and very small children, it does not matter if the the attention is positive or negative. Plus, any phrase which puts 'hot' next to 'woman' is vaguely erotic. The addition of 'spit' is neutral enough (or suggestive enough) to render the phrase sexy if you don't parse it for meaning.
