My necklace - the one it took me the length of TT:EE to do - broke this morning. I'm not sure whether the weak spot was the knot, and it just came undone despite my gluing it, or whether the jumpring opened enough for the knot to slip off and it came undone because of the now-open center. Either way, now I have to restring it this weekend (and find time to do the restringing).
On the other hand, my FMG order came in today, including enough little bitty Czech seed beads to try a multi-strand big, flowing necklace - the idea is vaguely inspired by something I saw in a catalog, and if it works, it'll be titled "Waterfall." (If it comes out differently from what I'm envisioning, but is still wearable, it may be called "Cracked Ice" instead.)
I also now have a few obviously Pagan-ish pendants, and one vaguely Buddhist one. I'm going to have to play with these a bit to see what they want to become, but I think the ocean jasper I bought this summer may finally get made into a necklace with one of these.
*sigh* Of course, now that I'm in a beading flurry, my yarn is looking at me mournfully. There's just not enough time to be Crafty, it seems . . .

Date: 2005-10-07 02:46 am (UTC)Can I give you a tentative yes on that? If I'm not ready for CMA yet, I may need to spend that weekend packing, but if I'm not in packing frenzy, I'd love to go.
