Saw the new Ghostbusters film tonight.
Spoiler-free review: Wall-to-wall fanservice, mostly the good kind. Good characters, fun story, had noticeable pacing and/or editing problems in the third act (in particular, it felt like the main antagonist had had a scene removed). Hewed close to the story of the original, in similar ways SW Ep 7 did to SW Ep 4, for similar reasons. Not as good as GB1, but few things are. Better than GB2. Worth seeing in theaters; I didn't see it in 3D because migraines, so I can't speak to that. Strong 3/5.
Will do a spoilery discussion after the weekend.

Date: 2016-07-15 12:40 pm (UTC)If it's the scene that I'm thinking of from everything I've heard, then yes. There was one particular moment removed after someone leaked the entire plot on Reddit a few months ago. Did what you noticed involve the police/military, along with Hemsworth's character?
I read the novelization, by Nancy Holder.
