Yuletide Fun!
Dec. 25th, 2009 06:46 pmNot having been around for previous Yuletide exchanges, I don't know how much the move to Archive Of Our Own affected things, but I'll admit, I was reasonably satisfied with it.
More importantly, eee, gift fic! *bounces* In two of the three fandoms I listed, yet!
For Eureka, The Blackest of Fridays. Dark and AU, but still Fargo-centric - boy, and I thought I wrote woobie!Fargo! I want to curl this one up in my arms and make him hot cocoa and a nice afghan.
The other two are both RGB. The shorter of the two, Santa's Coming to Town, is a nice piece of more or less gen Christmas fluff with Peter as the narrator; the author's got his voice somewhere between movie!Peter and cartoon!Peter, which I find interesting - it's a lovely take on Venkman. And while I write Ray a little more mature than that, the bouncy!kid!Ray is certainly present in the series, and it's a treat to see him!
The longer of the two, Tidings, is - and I do not mean by this effusive praise to in any way suggest that the shorter one is lacking, but it is a longer story and thus gets more in - OMFG damn near perfect! And it's a P/E/R threesome fic, which, well, you know me. *squees and vibrates madly* No smut, but it doesn't need it. And pagan!Ray! And mad!scientist!Egon! Yeah, this one pushed my buttons in a good, good way.
There are also a couple of other RGB and GB fics for other writers in the mix. Omorka sez check 'em out!
