Dangit

So, when I finally felt tired enough to try lying down last night, I managed to drop a large paperback book corner-first onto my right foot. We (the ensuing cursing woke up the Spouse) iced it down to try to ward off the swelling and bruising before I finally lay down for the evening, somewhere in the vicinity of 3:15 am. I finally got into a position where it wasn't being pressed on in any direction and got to sleep perhaps 45 minutes after that.

It's not too terribly swollen or discolored at the moment, although there's a distinct line where the book landed. It doesn't hurt unless I put my weight on it, but standing or walking on it isn't fun. There's no way whatsoever I can dance on this, I'm afraid, so belly dance class tonight is right out. I think I can make it through three block classes if I teach sitting down for part, but I will probably try and leave work as soon as classes are done.

Grr . . . I can't believe I did that.
