So I find myself with two CCS fic ideas . . .
This first, and far more ambitious, is an AU fic: what if the other Kinomoto sibling had been the one to find the Clow deck? I have no idea whether CardCaptor Toya is even achievable, but I'm fascinated by the way the relationships all change. The fun part is, how do we have the rivalry over the cards be between Shaoran and Toya without having the whole thing morph into either much more shonen ai than it already is or take the dive the other way and just become shonen? (The other disturbing thing is that it seriously reduces Tomoyo's importance to events.) I'll admit, a large part of the draw for me is having the CardCaptor be someone who has enough presence of mind to ask Kero the right questions . . .
The other I've already mentioned: a continuation of the Story So Far in which Madame Li decides that having the keeper of the cards not know any magic other than the cards is simply unacceptable, and so Sakura gets taught how to use other forms.
No idea whether either of these will get written (I still haven't finished my LotR fic about Estella and Rose, for crying out loud), but I'm having great fun turning the ideas over and doing plot outlines.
