ReStringing
Oct. 2nd, 2005 07:32 pmYou know, I thought it was really silly when the Spouse decided that Blue Man Group was furniture makin' music. But I appear to have adopted LotR commentary tracks as my bead-stringing accompaniment. (Now I have to keep track of which commentaries I've watched and which ones I haven't.) (Note to self: find LotR icons to go with the HP icons.)
I fixed the "autumn leaves" necklace. We'll see how it holds up to being worn to school a couple of times. I've also worked on the "sunset" three-strand freshwater pearl necklace; right now I'm letting the glue dry on the knots before I attach the strands to the clasp. Now I have the following projects for which I've bought all the pieces and I need to get to stringing:
- Waterfall/Cracked Ice (I'm trying to figure out how many strands it needs to be - right now I'm thinking twelve, which means either setting aside an entire weekend to do it or having a place where I can set aside strung strands where they won't be disturbed between sessions)
- The ocean jasper necklace
- Another leaf-themed piece using a gold and silver dichroic-glass leaf-shaped central pendant
- A couple of pieces in howlite (plain white and dyed deep blue), which may or may not incorporate some (dyed) blue jasper as well; one of these is the one I'm thinking of donating to the services auction
- The "Venus" mate to the "Isis" necklace I made several years ago
*Sigh*. My bead-stash is quite large, but my findings-stash is not. My next couple of orders should probably focus more on findings. Also, my bead-stash is about to require two tubs, same as my yarn-stash.
