Speaking of the Wheel turning . . .

Tomorrow is teacher report date. I still have not gotten my letter, so I am assuming that the usual breakfast will be at 7:30 like it normally is, with our first faculty meeting at 8 am.

A third of our department has turned over. My three-years are all gone. I'm expanding into the niche that I carved over the last two years. I have a handful of repeats from last year, and the rest new, although I know some of them from UIL.

This will be interesting. To another school year, and all its challenges - may we meet them all intelligently and humanely!

And do you feel scared - I do,
But I won’t stop and falter,
And if we threw it all away -
Things can only get better!
