Ugh, again . . .

Two of my kids left my 1B class yesterday to go to the nurse, complaining of nausea and stomach pain.

I came down with the same thing at the beginning of my 3B class. After having to leave class several times to puke my guts out, I gave in and called the Spouse to come pick me up after 4B was over.

Went to bed at about 2:00 yesterday afternoon and got up when the alarm went off at 5:35 this morning, with occasional bathroom breaks. Temp is 99.3 (elevated for me) and guts are still not sure about this eating thing. I called in, altough it's really unfair for my 5A class for me to do that - they're supposed to have a test today.

I'm going to try and drink some Gatorade and go back to bed. I suspect somebody came to proom down with this virus and it took 36 hours to incubate, which means I bet a lot of the other seniors will be dropping from it, too, soon.

Hope I didn't get anyone else sick . . .

No, really, I'm going back to bed any minute now

So I painted my toenails for proom.

Almost a year ago, I'd been at Middle Market with the Spouse, debating whether it would make it more okay for me to wear open-toed shoes without stickings to work if I at least attempted to adorn my feet "properly." I offered him the choice of two shades of green nail polish, and he picked the more pearlescent, less glittery of the two.

As I was getting ready for proom, I realized the said polish, which I had not yet attempted to wear, was exactly the same color as the dress. So of course I had to paint my toes, even though I was going to be wearing stockings (white lacetop backseams, if anyone cares).

I distinctly remember in one of my dreams/feverdreams last night looking at my feet and seeing my "regular" toes, without the polish.

Hmm . . . maybe I have a lucidity trigger, here. At least until the polish starts wearing off.
