My Precious! My Birthday Present! OotP hits on June 21! Woohoo!
Mr. E-I has been officially let go due to absenteeism and failure to certify after 3 years on emergency certification. The guy they're hiring to replace him just screams "jock" all over. I can't tell if he's taught elsewhere or if he's newly minted; that I guess we'll see for ourselves.
CardCaptor Sakura just rocks. It just completely rocks. Compersion and queerness and attractions that have nothing at all to do with anyone's gender - or genetic makeup . . . and a storyline, too!
People who print out 64 page online motorcycle magazines on the office printer should suffer the tortures of the Thousand Paper Cuts. Especially when other people have to prep for a sub.
I am leading a totally YAFIYGI life right now. I keep putting time and energy into work, which rewards me with more opportunities to put time and energy into work. I don't have a free Saturday until February 15. I took the CHS MATh tournament stuff home today to register online. And I [b]volunteered[/b] to lose the Saturday after this one coming up, because the workshop was on the needs of gifted girls.
Meanwhile, my magickal and sexual lives are in a holding pattern. The only thing I've been doing for them is the perfumery dabbling, which is more making investments for some unspecified later than actually doing anything. I don't put much energy into them because work is eating so much of my time and effort . . . and You Asked For It, You Got It.
I know it will take a conscious choice to change that. I also know I can't make that choice until at least Spring Break, because I have so many irons in the fire right now. It will take that long to ease half of them out. But I'm going to have to be careful what I plant at Imbolc - this is exactly what I put into the ritual at the women's retreat this summer, and boy did I get it. I'm grateful, certainly. But Be Careful What You Ask For . . .
