Since I seem to be doing memes . . .
Feb. 9th, 2009 10:52 pm1. Put your MP3 player on shuffle play.
2. Write down the first lines of the first twenty songs.
3. Post the poem that results.
4. The title is the first line of song twenty-one.
I'm being overly literal and taking the first line of the first real verse - skipping the chorus, if the song opens with the chorus. Not cutting, since it's not that long:
I Remember On The Floor
I'm right on target -
Don't know much about history.
I am a medicine man;
Lying in my bed, I hear the
Messenger of fear in sight.
Turmoil back in Moscow -
Are you blind when you're born?
What would you think?
I saw a newspaper picture,
Now that you're gone, nothing is wrong.
There's something happening here -
It's coming through a hole in the air.
Six o'clock already,
I see you from my window -
Take that look of worry.
It's not often that time turns itself around.
Daddy's best girl in the world -
Time keeps on slipping
Into darkness, our descending,
Try to see it my way?
