Owlcon Quicktakes
Feb. 8th, 2009 05:52 pmCon attendance: unofficial estimate, around 550 people - less than last year, but not by a huge number.
Games I played in: 3 (two by
tfbretz, his "Heroes of the New Age" setting for Feng Shui and a light-but-fun smash-'em-up romp using the Marvel Super Heroes FASERIP system; one by
b3zsgirl in Shadowrun)
Games I helped run: 1 (the Call of Cthulhu LARP)
Games I skipped: 1 (An unspecified World of Darkness game this morning - no way was I going to make a 10 am Sunday game after the LARP)
Games that didn't make: 1 (TC's Shab Al-Hiri Roach game - the only people who showed were me, him, and his girlfriend)
Lots of new faces, and a conspicuous absence of some old ones, at the Cthulhu LARP. Played members of a band in two different games. Almost nothing in the dealer's room I really wanted to buy; I bought one shirt from the Instant Attitudes table and that was it. Enjoyed the con immensely, even with some serious hiccups.
