omorkaWhy is it that the people who cite Scripture in order to argue for outlawing consensual sexual behavior in consenting adults consistently ignore the Gospel imperative to support the poor, which Paul then re-emphasizes in the Epistles? I mean, the big J comes out and says "Pay your taxes, dudes; money's not the important thing here." I'm paraphrasing, but the intent is pretty clear.

moontyger's Link of the Day. The author's interpretation of Libertarianism is consistent with the use I've always encountered; it is primarily USian in focus, but I concede that I don't see that as a flaw, as I've never head anyone from outside the US claim to be an unmodified libertarian. Anarcho-capitalist, sure, but not libertarian.
And I wish minarchists, pure propertarians, and anarcho-capitalists wouldn't share the same label like that. Obviously, I can't dictate anyone else's choice of language, but it's confusing. Of course, I wish Christian dominionists, neo-conservatives, plutocrats, and states-righters would stop all calling themselves Republicans, too. And, while I'm at it, I'd like a new word for a horse less than 14.2 hands high. :-/
