File under "Really Bad Admin Ideas"
Oct. 4th, 2004 09:42 pmSo the principal's big "time-saver" idea this year:
Instead of having faculty meetings after school when everyone can be there and everything can be presented once, have them during teacher off-periods instead! That way, the administrators and specialists have to present everything four times, teachers lose time to grade or plan instead of time they would have used going home, and a library is off-limits for students for a whole day! Everybody loses!
To make matters even worse, originally these were scheduled for last week, but Mrs. G was sick. Did they reschedule for later in the week? Why, no - instead they postponed until this week. When grades are due. *retch*
And to add insult to injury, I seated myself at a table right up front where no one was sitting, and what happens? Mr. J comes in (late, again) and sits next to me. And taps on the table through the whole meeting.
It's a good thing I have no advisory; if I had one, I'd get nothing done at all. It's amazing how much stuff you can get run off in 20 minutes.
